My name is Kenny Alaniz. I am a musician, facilitator, and cosmic warrior of the heart! My life’s work is to connect with the guidance of my ancestors, receive wisdom from plants, and share the medicine that I have found within myself to help others heal their hearts.

I was adopted at birth. Catalyzed by a feeling of disconnect from my lineage and discomfort with the imposed religious ideologies of my childhood, I embarked on a journey to discover the roots of who I am. I began to reconnect to the wisdom of my ancestors, first through ritual and ceremony, then by rejoining with my birth mother and discovering my roots in South America. It was, and still is, a process of remembering and unlearning.

Over the years I have toured and released music, studied plant medicine with a Mexican curandero serving under the Shipibo Konibo lineage, apprenticed under a South African Sangoma, volunteered to provide low-barrier shelter to the houseless, worked as a caregiver for rescued farm animals, lead sound healing sessions, guided ceremonies, traveled to sacred sites, and reclaimed missing fragments of my soul through a deepening relationship with nature.
